Aquila 3
Combining a 10 year model heritage with the most extensive re-design and engineering development in Australian HPV racing history, Trisled Aquila 3 is quite simply the most advanced circuit racing HPV ever created. Every detail has been refined by our design team in the best computer aided design packages long before first prototype. Extensive finite element analysis conducted achieve ultimate chassis performance as well as virtual wind tunnel runs to make the Aquila’s already class leading aerodynamics even better. In addition we subjected our prototype to nearly 4 months (and ongoing) of real world testing to find every performance enhancing set-up detail.
Trisled Aquila has and continues to set the standard of carbon composite shell construction. Capitalising on expertise directly sourced from aerospace, we’ve continued to push forward by focusing our attention on Beyond First Impact Protection for today’s challenging and more unpredictable racing environment. Our Safety Cell is a first of its kind in the sport and features a complete roll over structure and wheel enclosures in the one high density vacuum compacted laminate. This in turn is accompanied by a replaceable Kevlar nose cone front crumple zone.
Aquila 3 continues with our class leading visibility thanks to our computer modeled window line and air box demisted windscreen. We’ve also added to this the option of our chemically tinted windscreens for reduced glare during day racing.
In the pilot seat Aquila 3 builds on our leading rider ergonomics and comfort. The heart of Aquila 3 is our already legendary Generation 3 Chassis. As with Hornet, integrated is our revolutionary Indexed Crank System. Simply jump in, push a button to adjust reach, go! The largest possible range of rider sizes is accommodated and no need for booster padding or seat adjustments.
Aquila 3 is fitted with our in-house developed Carbon Big Boy wheels. They represent the singled biggest improvement in a bolt on part we’ve yet conceived. Independently lab tested by GreenSpeed, they are the lowest rolling resistance wheels currently available. Our testing concludes as much as 3% improvement in performance as well as increased tire longevity. Carbon Big Boy wheels are exclusive to Trisled.
Aquila 3 is 7% smaller than its predecessor and has had an under-body rework to capitalise on the lowest center of gravity and best drive-line efficiency. Our efforts to ensure every watt possible makes it to the road is noticeable from the first push off. Aquila 3 turns every HPV rider into a superhuman. A truly exhilarating riding experience!
